Description

The Dahlia 'Dark Angel Pretty Woman' is a striking semi-hardy perennial that enchants with its vibrant pink flowers and contrasting dark foliage. Compact yet bold, this dahlia grows to a height of 20 to 30 cm, making it an excellent choice for adding a splash of color to smaller spaces. Its blooms, with a spread of 5 to 10 cm, stand out beautifully against its dark leaves, creating a dramatic and elegant effect.

Flowering from July to September, 'Dark Angel Pretty Woman' thrives in full sun or partial shade and adapts well to various garden styles. It’s ideal for cottage gardens, borders, cut flower gardens, pots, large containers, and low-maintenance gardens. Plant the tubers 3 to 5 cm deep, with a spacing of three tubers per square meter, for a lush and eye-catching display.

This dahlia is easy to grow and perfect for gardeners of all levels, though it requires some protection as it is not resistant to deer, mice, or rabbits. Its preference for exposed positions ensures its blooms receive ample light to maintain their vivid color.

With its compact size, rich dark foliage, and bright pink flowers, the 'Dark Angel Pretty Woman' dahlia adds charm and sophistication to any garden, offering a stunning display with minimal effort.

      FAQ - About Dahlias

Dahlia tubers should be planted in spring, after the last frost has passed. In most climates, this is between April and June. Make sure the soil has warmed up before planting.

No, dahlias are not winter hardy. In colder climates, the tubers need to be lifted from the ground in autumn and stored in a cool, dry, frost-free place until the following spring.

Yes, removing spent flowers encourages the plant to produce more blooms and keeps it looking tidy throughout the season.

Water dahlias regularly, especially during dry periods. Keep the soil evenly moist but not waterlogged. Once established, dahlias are fairly resilient but perform best with consistent watering.
