De Crocus chrysanthus 'Dorothy' is een levendige voorjaarsbloeier die tot de botanische familie van krokussen behoort. Deze charmante bloem bereikt een hoogte van 10 tot 15 cm, waardoor ze een delicate en vrolijke verschijning is in de vroege lentetuin. De bloeiperiode van de 'Dorothy' strekt zich uit van februari tot maart, wat betekent dat ze een van de eerste bloemen is die kleur en leven aan de tuin brengt na de winter.
De bloemen van de 'Dorothy' hebben een heldergele kleur die een warme en zonnige uitstraling geeft aan elke tuin. Voor de beste groeiresultaten dienen de bollen op een diepte van 5 cm geplant te worden, met een plantafstand van 6 cm tussen de bollen. De bolmaat is 6/+.
