Daffodils

The range of daffodils is extensive and includes Southern, Central and Western Europe, North Africa, China, Japan and parts of Asia. However, the story of the daffodils takes place in Spain and Portugal. The name 'daffodil' comes from the Greek verb 'narkaoo', which means 'to stun'. In the past, the scent of daffodils was experienced as narcotic or soporific.
